Charles and Ray Eames
For more than 40 years Charles(1907-1978) and Ray(1912-1988) Eames have been influencing American life through their furniture design, textile design, toys, films, and slide shows.
Charles and Ray are famous for their moulded plywood work, In fact Charles and Ray have managed to design a prize-winning furniture for New York's Museum of Modern Art, displaying the new technique of wood moulding not seen anywhere else before. Later on they moved on to designing many mould plywood products for the US Navy in WWII. We can admit that Charles and Ray have been successful in promoting modern architecture based on the fact that we still use similar chairs now and also similar furniture. Charles and Ray Eames are always complemented on their use of space, and what makes it even more fascinating is the modern furniture used is moulded plywood which is designed by the Eames themselves. What made them so popular was the fact that the chairs designed by them were functional, affordable furnishings available for many middle-class Americans. Real Eames chairs that have survived the years are worth a fair bit of money, even though there have been remakes it still shows that today their designs are very up to date.

His association with the Eameses extended beyond the case study program, but he and Charles were an award winning team for the 'New York's Museum of Modern Art Organic Design in Home Furnishings competition.'
He completed over a 100 architectural projects through out his career, collaborating with his Father on a few. He also designed furniture for Knoll with his range still on sale to this day.

House Of Cards:
House of cards is a game designed by Charles and Ray Eames, the concept behind this is simply constructing a house from rectangular shapes.
We see a similar style of construction and colouring in the Eames house. I also believe that the reason behind this simplicity is the fact that Charles and Ray had to build their house themselves. To me it seems like the house of cards is just a smaller version of the Eames house, so we could say that their style of architecture is slightly predictable if you consider the house of card as an example.
